I would have to disagree that the main difference in society is power, as the lower classes often actualy have more power than the higher, they just don't realise it. They are simply held at bay by the concept of privilefe, indeed the main unbalance within our society is this concept of 'privilege'. This matter of privilege is why, within a capitalist system, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer... In almost any circumstance those with privilege have the advantage over those with out, with no relation to individual skill and ability, and as the divides between the two grow the problem only gets greater. The divide creates inequality, which causes a breakdown in communication; for true communication can only occure between equals (according to the SNAFU Principal). And thus the schisms grow, the disunity intensifies and people become unable to identify with each other and as such communtiy breaks down. Whilst this noxious concept of privilege exists, society will always be lead by those on whom privilege is placed, whether it be due to money, popularity or blood.
As for taxation I have to agree with Nozick, all taxation is daylight robbery. But then all money is illusionary anyway, so can you really be said to steal an illusion?
